Sullivan/Colborne - Watermain and Sanitary Sewer Replacement
This project involves the replacement of aging cast iron watermain and vitrified clay sanitary sewer infrastructure along Sullivan Avenue and Colborne Street. These improvements are necessary to address deteriorating underground systems, improve overall reliability, and reduce the risk of watermain breaks and infiltration and inflow.
The work includes replacing approximately 95 m of watermain and 80 m of sanitary sewer on Colborne Street with 200 mm PVC pipe. On Sullivan Avenue, approximately 206 m of sanitary sewer will also be replaced with 200 mm PVC pipe.
The project limits for Colborne Street are from Metcalfe Street to Sullivan Avenue. The project limits for Sullivan Avenue are from Sydenham Street to West Street South.
All work is intended to improve the infrastructure and reduce the risk of future failures.
Work is scheduled to start the week of January 12th, 2026.
* There has been a further delay in completing the project because of extreme weather conditions.
