Growth management is about planning for how much Thorold will grow and where that growth should go.

It helps the City plan for future homes, jobs, infrastructure and services.

No decision has been made. The study will first look at how much growth can be accommodated within Thorold's existing urban area and whether the City already has enough land. If additional land is needed, the study will identify what may be required and the considerations for where future growth could occur.

No. This study does not change the zoning of individual properties. It will provide information and recommendations for the City's upcoming Official Plan Review.

Thorold is growing and changing. The City needs to plan ahead for future population, housing and jobs so that growth can be supported by appropriate land, infrastructure and services. This work will also provide important information for the City's upcoming Official Plan Review.
