Decew Road Reconstruction and Environmental Assessment

The City of Thorold has initiated a Class Environmental Assessment study for the reconstruction of Decew Road between Richmond Street and Beaverdams Road. The road is in poor condition and lacks cycling paths or consistent sidewalks.

In addressing the need to reconstruct the road, the study will also consider: geometric and operational improvements to the road and intersections; street lighting, and improved pedestrian and cyclist amenities. The project will also include recommendations for upgrades and replacement of underground services (water main, storm and sanitary sewer).
