St. Davids Road Environmental Assessment & Reconstruction Ph 1 and 2

The City of Thorold is working with the City of St. Catharines to reconstruct St. David's Road from Collier Road to Foley Crescent.

The Class EA Study addressed the need to reconstruct, which will include geometric and operational improvements/upgrades to the existing amenities.

The contract for the St. Davids Road reconstruction (Phase 1) has been awarded to O’Hara Trucking and Excavating Inc. The City of Thorold and the City of St. Catharines will be commencing construction on St. David’s Road at the end of March 2023. The work will begin with the replacement of the water main, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer facilities between Collier Road and Foley Crescent. This will include the replacement of sidewalks and streetlights in the respective area.

The construction for Phase 2 will be tendered in September 2025.
