Road Extension Between Kottmeier/Merritt & Egerter/Towpath

The City of Thorold completed the Transportation Master Plan (TMP) in June 2020. The Transportation Master Plan identified the need for a new collector road between Kottmeier Road/Merritt Road and Egerter/Towpath Road as means to address higher travel demands from growth in the Port Robinson West neighbourhood.

The City of Thorold has initiated this Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) to study the extension of Kottmeier/Merritt Road between Merritt Road cul-de-sacs and Egerter/Towpath Road. This study will consider population growth and overall transportation needs in Port Robinson West. This study will identify and evaluate alternative design concepts for the new roadway between Merritt Road cul-de-sacs and Egerter/Towpath Road and determine a preferred design concept(s).
